The Great Fire of London

As part of our new topic ‘Fire and Light’ Class Two have been learning about The Great Fire of London. We have been very busy learning about what the city of London is like now and then looking at what it may have been like in the year 1666 when the fire took place. We have been history detectives and have used different sources of evidence to help us answer some questions about the fire. We have made our own bread rolls, butter and even candle holders. We finished off the week with an amazing story telling session with Clive Pigg who helped us try and imagine what life might have been like in the time of the fire. It has been a brilliant start to our learning this half term.
